Dance From The Heart Summer Mini-Convention 2016 is excited to host Amani Maharet for a workshop exploring how tribal style bellydance has changed since it's beginnings. "Evolution of Tribal" workshop description: 
From Bal Anat to the Bellydance Superstars, tribal & fusion bellydance has come a long way since it began. In this workshop we will touch on some of the major innovators of tribal bellydance & learn some of their signature styles. Will we start with Jamila Salimpour & the roots of tribal style, move through Carolena Nericcio & FatChanceBellyDance® style ATS®, onto Jill Parker & the beginnings of tribal fusion, & end with Rachel Brice & where tribal bellydance is today.
